
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Mustafa Hilmi Çolakoğlu
He was born in Ankara in 1957. He graduated from Middle East Technical University, Department of Mechanical Engineering. He received his Master’s Degree from Hacettepe University, Department of Wood Products Industrial Engineering and his Ph.D. from GAZİ University, Technical Education Faculty. He became an associate professor in 2011. As the Vice President and Deputy Chairman of KOSGEB (Small and Medium Industry Development Organization), he established more than 20 Technology Development Centres. He worked as a consultant at the Technology Development Foundation of Turkey and Ayvansaray University. He gave lectures at METU, TOBB ETU, KASTAMONU, ERCİYES, İstanbul Aydın Universities. He participated in OCED, PISA, PIAAC, ECEC, curriculum content mapping, ET2030 programs. He works as a partner and/or consultant in many FP7, H2020 and ERASMUS + projects. He is the founder of the Mind Mapping Association. He is the founder and editor of the Journal of Continuing Vocational Education and Training. He worked as Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education between 2014-2017. He is still a consultant to the Minister of Education.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Devrim Akgündüz
He completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees at Gazi University and his Ph.D. at Marmara University in the field of Science Education. He worked as a teacher, project coordinator, consultant, expert, faculty member and lecturer at various levels of the Ministry of National Education and universities. He gave conferences, seminars, in-service trainings to thousands of teachers, directors and students related to STEM education, project preparation techniques and management, blended learning and social media, educational technologies, technology integration, international assessment exams and innovation in education. At the invitation of the American Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he participated in 50 meetings in 10 states and 32 cities in the United States within the scope of IVLP (2009) and STEM project (2014), which he was the director of. He was in touch with Science Centers, Museums, Think Tanks, Ministries, Universities, Educational Institutions, Schools, Libraries, Local Administrations and Institutes in the United States. In 2006, he founded ‘Proje Okulu’ (The Project School) (projeokulu.com), which is Turkey’s first project website, ‘STEM Okulu’ (The STEM School) (stemschool.com), which is Turkey’s first organization related to STEM, World STEM Organization (worldstem.com) and the first STEM laboratory in Turkey. He wrote and edited the Report of STEM Education in Turkey and A Comprehensive Evaluation Report on STEM Education in Turkey, which were the first reports related to STEM Education in Turkey. He coordinated STEM projects funded by TÜBİTAK, UNESCO, TÜSİAD, the European Union and the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Dr. Akgündüz still continues to work as a faculty member at Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Education, Department of Class Education, and Director of STEM Education Application and Research Center. Furthermore, He directs The STEM Laboratory, and the organizations called STEM Teacher Certificate Program (www.stemokulu.com), the World STEM Education Conference (worldstemed.org) and the World STEM Festival (worldstemfest.org), which aim to train STEM Teachers.

Julian McDougall is Professor in Media and Education, Head of the Centre for Excellence in Media Practice and Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He edits Media Practice and Education, runs the Professional Doctorate in Creative and Media Education at Bournemouth University.
